Eyelashes Application – Instructions
Eyelashes and eyebrows give one’s face contour and expression; without them, one’s face changes. Here, a cleverly applied make-up can help.
However, even a professional permanent make-up cannot take over the function of small hairs protecting our eyes, i.e., from rain drops can fall unchecked onto our eyes. But how does this work with the artificial alternative? How are they fixed properly and where do they come from? Artificial eyelashes are available in various colors, shapes and lengths. You just have to decide what suits you. Everything else you need is a steady hand and a little patience.
To apply eyelashes, one proceeds as follows:
- Adjust the eyelash length to the eye, cut with scissors.
- Slide the new eyelashes between your thumb and index finger to give them a natural look. (Otherwise they are arranged too evenly)
- The upper and lower eyelids can be painted with eyeliner, as required. In the case of hairless alopecia patients, this facilitates the application of the adhesive by providing a visible contour!
- Apply the eyelash glue to the eyelash edge using a pointed object (e.g. toothpick) and then place the eyelashes securely so that the glue / eyelash edge is at the top (e.g. between the bristles of a hairbrush).
- Eyelash glue can also be applied to eyelids with the help of a pointed object. As soon as the adhesive looks transparent, the eyelashes can be glued from the inside (starting from your nose) to the outside. Here you have to pay attention to make sure that the angle between the eyelashes and the eye is correct. You can use a pair of tweezers to help, but be careful not to hurt your eyes.
- If necessary, you can reapply eyeliner after gluing on the eyelashes. Here you don’t even have to observe the glue drying time!
- DONE! Have fun with your new eyelashes!
- To remove the eyelashes (e.g. in the evening before going to sleep) you can simply pull them off with your index finger and thumb, starting from the nose.
Most of the glue dissolves very well, otherwise you should brush your fingers along the edge of the eyelash to remove any remaining glue. Eyelashes can also be worn without problems for 1-2 days without removing them at night, however, the contact with water in the eye area should be avoided. If well cared for, eyelashes can be worn between 4 and 8 weeks. We recommend is the lash adhesive Duo Lash.
